The burger and fries DELICIOUS .. I don't live in houston but worked in area and decided to try it. So glad I did.
Visited a couple times and so far the food has been solid. Really the burgers and sandwiches. I tried the tuna melt for the first time and it hit the spot. The portions aren't small either. Overall definitely recommend.
All I can say about the mushroom Swiss burger is WOW. I'm not sure what they put in the melty cheese, but it was amazing with the perfectly grilled patty and sautéed mushrooms. I would have liked a little seasoning on the fries, however, they were fried perfectly. There's a reason they were once voted best burger in Houston!
If Peter is not cooking, don't bother eating. BUT!!! If he is, sit yo big back ass down and enjoy everything he put in front of you.
Bacon cheeseburger $13 - our preferred burger (cashier recommended this). Bacon was very crispy. Patties are actually flavorful. (I don't like the places where they make it about the toppings.) Soft bun, although I wish it was toasted a bit. Fresh veggies. Mushroom Swiss burger $13 - also very good. Burgers are huge BTW. I may have eaten a little more than half. They're not cheap, but they don't ask for tip. (They only have a cash tip jar.) So I guess the burgers are about $11. Sweet Potato fries $3.75 - we shared this. They were hot and very crispy, not oily at all. We were the only customers dining in. It has a bar atmosphere, and it's dark and a little dingy tbh, but the workers are friendly, and the food is good. We saw a handful of people who ordered pick-up. We only stopped by bc we live down the street and i saw good reviews, but from the outside, I would never just walk in.
Great decor. Great atmosphere. Hamburger was good, onion rings were good. Staff was amiable. Cool hang. This would be a great place to make a movie.
